Southern Miss Research Team
Our diverse university-based research team has worked diligently to document the evolution of this broad partnership and the work of district personnel, middle and high school science teachers, non-profit organizations in the community, and the support of students and their families. We have Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) educators and psychologists from the University of Southern Mississippi and the Pascagoula River Audubon Center studying the WetKids model for out-of-school STEM immersion.
Project WetKids Director, Professor and Director of CISSTEM at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Cwikla coordinates the coastal partnership, organizes events, and leads the research team.

Professional Development Director from the Pascagoula River Audubon Center. Dr. LaSalle is a wetland ecologist, providing expertise on wetlands, water quality and environmental impacts of humans.

External Program Evaluator and Principal Partner of Education Design, INC, a Boston-based educational services firm. Dr. Reider currently leads evaluation efforts for four other National Science Foundation education projects.
